Brendan Loughnane vs. Bubba Jenkins

Few featherweights bring the pedigree to fighting that Bubba Jenkins has. He’s a multi-time champion out of college for both Penn State and Arizona State, becoming an All-American at both schools, while winning the National Championship at ASU.

At 34, father time is coming soon for Jenkins, and it’s likely he wants to add some world championship gold to his resume before he drops the gloves for the final time. He’s won more than he’s lost and taken wins from names like Goti Yamauchi and Lance Palmer, two of the best welterweights in the world.

For his opponent Brendan Loughnane, this is a chance to finally etch his name among the MMA elite. He’s been with PFL since 2019 after a failed appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he won his fight but didn’t get into the UFC after. So far he’s undefeated in PFL for the 2022 season and is looking to take home the featherweight title, but to do so, he has to deal with Jenkins’ aggressive takedown game.

Jenkins loves to take people down, going 24 for 30 on attempts this season. That’s ok by Loughnanen, as he’s not a slouch with grappling either, going 16 of 24 on takedown attempts. These are two men who are similar in so many ways from their size, their weight, their height, and their styles.

It’s going to be a contest where both men test themselves probably like they’ve never done so before.

PREDICTION: Brendan Loughnane wins via TKO
