23. Farid Basharat
Bantamweight Javid Basharat joined the UFC roster last year on DWCS and his younger followed suit this season. Undefeated Farid Basharat (9-0), who fights in the same division as his brother, won a dominant unanimous decision victory over Allan Begosso. The Xtreme Couture fighter is very confident, has a good team behind him, and will be a nice addition to the division.
22. Sedriques Dumas
Undefeated middleweight Sedriques Dumas (7-0) got in and out of the octagon with a 47-second first-round submission of Matej Penaz. Dumas is a fighter who checks all the MMA boxes and is looking to get on the UFC Orlando card at the end of the year.
21. Waldo Cortes-Acosta
Undefeated LFA heavyweight champion Waldo Cortes-Acosta (7-0) secured a first-round knockout of Danilo Suzart. The Dominican is also a boxer and has fought for Bellator. Cortes-Acosta will be making his UFC debut against fellow contract winner Jared Vanderaa at UFC Vegas 63.
20. Austen Lane
Former NFL player and DWCS alum Austen Lane returned to the program after four years away sharpening his MMA skills. Lane (12-3) lost to Greg Hardy on his first attempt at a contract and has since gone 8-2, finishing up with a knockout of kickboxer Richard Jacobi to join the heavyweight division.
19. Yusaku Kinoshita
The first fighter from Japan to be signed on DWCS, Yusaku Kinoshita (6-1) added another finish to his win total with a third-round knockout of Jose Henrique and is now part of the welterweight division.
18. Nazim Sadykhov
Longo & Weidman lightweight Nazim Sadykhov (7-2) was in a war with Ahmad Hassanzada before flatlining him with a right hook at the start of the third round. Sadykhov is looking to fight in November and wants to make some waves in the division.
17. Raul Rosas Jr.
History was made this season as Mexican grappler Raul Rosas Jr. (6-0) became the youngest fighter on the UFC roster at 17. Rosas heavily impressed Dana White with a unanimous decision victory against Mando Gutierrez. The bantamweight division is one of the toughest in the sport, so it will be interesting to see how Rosas is matched up, big things can happen for this kid if he is handled right.
16. Mateus Mendonca
Undefeated Brazilian bantamweight Mateus Mendonca (10-0) recorded the 10th fastest knockout in DWCS history with a right hook followed up by an uppercut to put out Ashiek Ajim in 48 seconds. Mendonca comes from Chute Box Diego Lima and already looks UFC-ready.
