Bellator 286: Patricio Pitbull vs. Adam Borics full live results.

In the main event of Bellator 286, legendary staple and featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire looks to add to his legacy by defending his strap against rising contender Adam Borics.

Freire may go down as the best Bellator fighter, but at 35, he still has plenty left in the tank, last seen avenging his loss to A.J. McKee. That loss to McKee, who is in this card’s co-main event, was Pitbull’s first since 2016, and he faces another young contender looking to do the same.

Borics is that hungry contender, coming into this fight on a four-fight win streak, all by the decision; the last a unanimous decision win in a war with Mads Burnell. His lone loss came to Darrion Caldwell in early 2020, and he holds wins over Jeremy Kennedy and Aaron Pico on this card.

The winner of that main event could very well face McKee should he win his co-main event battle with the unorthodox Spike Carlyle. Mckee makes his lightweight debut after losing for the first time in a competitive decision to Freire, and his feeling of invincibility.

Carlyle fights very haphazardly and is always down to scrap but has been a bit of a journeyman. Coming in on a five-fight win streak, all coming inside the distance, it would be a mistake to discount or look past Carlyle.

Another interesting featherweight puzzle piece is Aaron Pico vs. Jeremy Kennedy. Albeit an outside chance, Pico, once the hottest prospect in Bellator, could throw his name into the title picture with a convincing win over a very tough Jeremy Kennedy.
