Bo Nickal dominates at DWCS for the second time.
What a way to end season six of Dana White’s Contender Series; highly touted prospect Bo Nickal gets his second victory of the season via triangle choke submission at 0:52 of round one vs. Donovan Beard in the middleweight featured fight. Nickal, a (-3500) betting favorite, proved the oddsmakers correct.
It didn’t take long to get to the ground for Nickal, but not with wrestling; it was an overhand left. Once he got there, he quickly took the mount and briefly attempted a guillotine choke; after a quick scramble, Nickal locked up the triangle and the contract.

White was obviously impressed with Nickal after his first fight but wanted to see more with only two fights under his belt. Nickal will now undoubtedly add a UFC contract to his decorated college wrestling career at Penn St., where he was a three-time NCAA champion.
Beard, the CFFC middleweight champion came into the matchup (7-1), winning his last five fights inside the distance.
