Bellator 285 returns to Dublin, Ireland, and Ciaran Clarke is the fighter to watch.

Bellator is back after a month’s break as they visit Dublin, Ireland once again. Headlining the card are former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson and SBG Ireland’s Peter Queally. In the light heavyweight co-main event, UFC vet Yoel Romero will make his third appearance for the organization against former title challenger and kickboxer Melvin Manhoef, and kicking off the main card is Ireland’s own Ciaran Clarke, who owns an undefeated 5-0 record.

The young Irishman out of Drogheda County Louth, Ireland is quickly becoming one of Bellator’s biggest international stars. Ciaran Clarke turned pro in 2019 after a lengthy amateur career and boasts a 5-0 record, all with the same organization. At Bellator 270, Clarke was the featured prelim and brought his record to 4-0 with the submission of Jordan Baton. After that win, Clarke was elevated to the feature bout at Bellator 275 where he knocked out Abou Tounkara to climb to 5-0.

Ciaran Clarke faces Rafael Hudson at Bellator 285

Clarke will fight again in Dublin for the fourth time in his five professional fights and this time he’s getting the action started on the main card. Clarke will be tasked with getting the crowd going against Nova Uniao’s Rafael Hudson (5-3). This fight will take place in a contested 150-pound catchweight. Hudson started off his career 4-0 but has gone 1-3 since then, although all of his wins have come by finish. This will be Hudson’s debut with Bellator.

Clarke’s gym, SBG Ireland, gained more notoriety with the arrival of Conor McGregor and John Kavanagh in 2013 and has a plethora of fighters who have been popping up across organizations since. There will be six fighters on their home turf this weekend, with three fighting out of SBG Ireland: main event co-headliner Peter Queally, fellow prospect Darragh Kelly, and Brian Moore.
