Denis Tiuliulin brings the heat in the second round to score a finish of Jamie Pickett at UFC 279
In spite of some trouble from losing a point on two low blows, Denis Tiuliulin made sure the judges weren’t needed for his fight with Jamie Pickett, scoring the win at UFC 279.
Pickett‘s strategy in the opening round appeared to be to enter and land inside before circling back around as Tiuliulin looked to be aggressive, bring pressure and walk him down.

Quite possibly the biggest shot of the first round, however, was a kick that seemed to catch Pickett on the groin.
A competitive second round was paused by another low shot, which saw Tiuliulin get deducted a point. That seemed to do something to him, as he increased his pressure, eventually landing a knee to the head that wobbled Pickett. A hard elbow and flurry later, Tiuliulin quickly brought the fight to an end.
