Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson ‘frontrunner’ for new UFC 279 main event.
It’s been a wild few days in UFC land.
On Thursday, an all-out brawl ensued backstage at the UFC 279 pre-fight presser causing the event to be scrapped due to the safety of everyone involved. Now, the UFC 279 headliner, Khamzat Chimaev missed wight by 7.5 pounds forcing him entirely out of the card and the UFC scrambling to keep Diaz’s final bout on the card.
According to sources, the front runner to replace Chimaev is Tony Ferguson. Dustin Poirier is also an option.
