Khamzat Chimaev roasted himself on social media for his massive weight miss at the UFC 279 weigh-ins.

In arguably the biggest moment of his career, Khamzat Chimaev has many fight fans concerned about the status of the main event of UFC 279. On Friday morning, Chimaev weighed in at 178.5 pounds, 8.5 pounds over the 170-pound welterweight class, and 7.5 pounds over the limit.

Word is still pending on whether or not Nate Diaz will accept the fight after he successfully weighed in. Chimaev quickly took to Twitter to clown himself for the massive weight miss.

Khamzat Chimaev missed weight by 7.5 pounds

In his post, he mentions his friend and teammate Darren Till, jokingly blaming the weight blunder on Till. So far, UFC 279 has been filled with wild antics, from Thursday’s press conference brawl and subsequent cancellation to the massive main event weight miss.
