Gabriel Bonfim joins brother with DWCS win after first-round submission.
The first finish of Dana White’s Contender Series week 7 was an incredible comeback submission by Gabriel Bonfim that you have to see to believe.
Bonfim looked like he was in trouble when Trey Waters snatched up a dangerous-looking guillotine. Bonfim was impressively quick to pass his legs to half-guard on the opposite side while simultaneously locking his hands behind Waters’ head. This hand lock was crucial in allowing Bonfim to lock up a von flue choke, driving his shoulder into Waters’ neck and getting the insane finish.

Bonfim fought on this card with his brother, Ismael, who also won his fight. Ismael scored a dominant unanimous decision victory over a tough opponent who refused to go down. It is a great night for the Bonfim family, as both fighters look poised to earn a UFC contract.
