UFC Paris: Abus Magomedov defeated Dustin Stoltzfus.

Abus Magomedov defeated Dustin Stoltzfus via TKO (strikes), Round 1 – 0:19 at UFC 278 on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, live from the Accor Arena In Paris, France.

“Thank you, thank you, I’m happy to be part of this historical event. The hype is real… I am happy. No, it was not the plan. It was not the plan to finish so fast,” said Magomedov.

The fight started with Magomedov coming across the Octagon and landing a front kick to the jaw of Stoltzfus. The kick hurt Stoltzfus, who retreated to the fence. Magomedov landed several powerful punches that dropped Stoltzfus. The referee moved in and stopped the fight in only 19 seconds.

Magomedov made his UFC debut on Saturday. The highly touted Russian-born fighter is now fighting out of Germany. Magomedov’s win on Saturday gave him four wins in his last five fights and a career record of 25-4-1 with 20 finishes. With his extremely impressive debut, Magomedov could be put on the fast track to contention.

Stoltzfus defeated Dwight Grant in his last fight. However, following his 19-second loss, Stoltzfus has now lost four of his last five fights.
