Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa had both the Accor Arena and Twitter absolutely electrified for nearly fifteen straight minutes.Β
There are few things better in sports than two heavyweights just throwing bombs at each other. That was made even better as Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa put on an unbelievably exciting fight in front of a rambunctious French crowd, who were pulling hard for their fellow countryman, Gane.
The second round in particular was exhilarating, as Tuivasa actually dropped Gane with a powerful right hand, only for Gane to get up and start trying to kick his way through the middle of Tuivasa. Both fighters somehow managed to make it to their corners and see a third and final round, but there was no denying the energy that everyone in attendance and at home was feeling.
Gane would finally get the knockout in the third round when a clean left hook would put Tuivasa out on his feet. The French audience exploded with excitement and rained down well-deserved praise on both warriors in the Octagon.
UFC Twitter erupted in celebration of the awesome bout between the heavyweights
UFC fighters around the globe were watching the event and took to Twitter to weigh in on the explosive main event.

Despite the fight being very close, the numbers do not lie in showing just how dominant Gane was in victory. Landing 110 significant strikes with 65 percent accuracy, Gane was undeniable in front of his countrymen and will likely be fighting for the UFC heavyweight championship again very soon.
