DWCS Week 6: Yusaku Kinoshita is the fighter to watch

Hailing from Osaka, Japan, Yusaku Kinoshita is ready for his shot at a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series Week 6.
Following a stunning Week 5 where four of five underdogs emerged victorious, DWCS week 6 promises to bring the action once again. One highlight reel producer to keep an eye on is Yusaku Kinoshita.
Fresh off of his 22nd birthday, Kinoshita (5-1) will step into the UFC APEX for the first time ever for DWCS week 6. The welterweight, who Tapology ranks as the No. 7 best in Japan, has previously fought in the Pancrase and RIZIN promotions, where he amassed five wins and one disqualification loss for fence-grabbing.
In Kinoshita’s controversial disqualification loss, his opponent was being head-stomped, which is legal in the RIZIN promotion. However, because Kinoshita was holding the fence, the near victory was deemed a DQ, and Kinoshita’s perfect record was no more. Regardless, Kinoshita is considered by many fight fans to still be undefeated.
Yusaku Kinoshita will look to add another spectacular finish to his record at when he faces José Henrique at DWCS
Kinoshita has finished all five of his victories in the first round, with three knockouts and two submissions. Kinoshita is a dual threat and looks to add another win to his record against the undefeated Brazilian José Henrique (5-0). Henrique normally fights at middleweight and will be moving down to the 170-pound division to face Kinoshita in the Japanese’s comfort zone.
Other bouts set for DWCS Week 6 include light heavyweights Matěj Peňáz vs. Sedriques Dumas, lightweights Rodrigo Lídio vs. Mateusz Rębecki, strawweights Viktoriya Dudakova vs. Maria Silva, and bantamweights Alex Morgan vs. Blake Bilder.
