DWCS Week 4: Thomas Paull vs. Esteban Ribovics results and UFC contract winners.

A week after every favorite took home a win and three fighters were awarded contractsDana White’s Contender Series is back with another exciting card. Headlining the card will be England’s Thomas Paull (9-3) and Argentina’s Esteban Ribovics (10-0).

Kicking off the card is a lightweight bout between Longo & Weidman prospect Nazim Sadykhov (6-1) and Ahmad Hassanzada (8-1). After losing his first professional fight, Sadykhov has won six straight and is looking to keep the momentum going against Afghanistan’s Hassanzada while earning himself a contract in the process.

The second fight of the night is a women’s bantamweight matchup between LFA and Invicta FC alum Hailey “All Hail” Cowan and Nacao Cyborg’s bantamweight champion Claudia Leite. NCAA All-American gymnast Hailey Cowan (6-2) has had her share of exciting finishes in LFA before signing with Invicta FC this year and getting a finish in her debut, garnering a chance from the UFC. Leite is 8-2 with five finishes and is looking to add another Tuesday night.

In the featured bout, Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright (10-0) takes on Jose Johnson (14-7) who is getting his second shot on DWCS. Johnson suffered a decision loss to contract winner Ronnie Lawrence in 2020 and is looking for redemption. Cartwright is undefeated and has eight finishes in 10 wins, his most recent win coming from a disqualification for repeated headbutts by his opponent.

In the co-main event, Lux Fight League’s middleweight champion Ivan Valenzuela faces Future Fighting Championship’s middleweight champion, Claudio Ribeiro. Mexico’s Valenzuela (8-1) has seven finishes in eight wins and is riding a five-fight win streak. Brazil’s Ribeiro (9-2) has only gone to a decision once and has nine finishes in nine wins.

In the main event, duel-lightweight champions will clash. Thomas Paull, who is champion in Golden Ticket Fight Promotions and Retribution Fighting Championship, has 10 finishes in 11 wins and was born deaf. Paull asked Dana White for an opportunity to compete on the show, as he wants some of the promotion’s biggest stars if he wins a contract. Undefeated Esteban Ribovics, the Samurai Fight House and Fusion FC lightweight champion, has 10 finishes in 10 fights, and the finishing machine is looking to make it 11 straight.
