UFC 275: Who is Maheshate?

After a victory on Dana White’s contender series back in November, Mahesheta will be making his UFC debut in the prelims of UFC 275.
The UFC is continuing to try and build its presence in eastern Asia, meaning more exposure for fighters from the most heavily populated countries on Earth. Stars like Zhang Weili and the Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung have brought respect and excitement to their fanbases in east Asia thanks to their success in the UFC.
The UFC is returning to East Asia and Singapore for UFC 275 to continue building its international presence. With a show that big on an international stage, the UFC of course would take the opportunity to show off exciting talent from nearby countries.
One of the most exciting young talents out of Asia is the striker out of China, Mahesheta. Currently sitting at 8-1 with four stoppages, Mahesheta, whose full name is Mahesheta Hayisaer, has a well-rounded fighting toolbox that he developed when fighting in the Wu Lin Feng series in China.
Mahesheta will be looking for a quick knockout over Steve Garcia in his UFC debut
Mahesheta made his North American debut back in November of 2021 when he won a decision victory over Achilles Estremadura in Dana White’s Contender Series. His quick striking style scores well on judging scorecards, but his power striking has secured him three first-round knockouts.
His opponent, Steve Garcia, is currently 12-4 overall and 1-1 in the UFC. Garcia’s striking has earned him eight knockout victories, with four of those coming in the first round. Fighting out of New Mexico, Garcia will be looking to either take his opponent to the cage and score some close-quarters elbow or score an early power shot to ruin Mahesheta’s debut.
