After its return in 2021, the PFL is looking to use this year to continue to catapult itself into the upper echelon of MMA.

The league recently announced that they will add the PFL Challenger Series to their programming beginning in 2022. This new show will allow prospects to make an impression on the league in hopes of a shot on one of the sport’s biggest platforms.

Stars such as Kayla Harrison, Claressa Shields, and Ray Cooper III have put their stamp on the league and made a name for themselves over the past few years. The PFL Challenger Series seeks to find some of the next big names to come through the league.

Here’s everything you need to know to tune in to the PFL Challenger Series.

What do we know about PFL’s Challenger Series?

What is the PFL Challenger Series?

The PFL Challenger Series’ format will be very similar to how Dana White’s Contender Series works with the UFC.

Young and up-and-coming male and female MMA prospects will compete for a slot in the PFL tournament season and a chance at $1 million.

When and where can you tune in?

The PFL Challenger Series will debut on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, live exclusively on FuboTV and its affiliate, Fubo Sports Network. The show will air on Friday nights through April.

How will PFL contract winners be selected?

Each week, the PFL Challenger Series will consist of a celebrity guest panel featuring personalities in film, athletics, and music. Mike Tyson, along with NFL stars Ray Lewis and Todd Gurley, are just a few of the names who will decide who gets a shot in the league.

Important to note: these celebrities will not decide the fight winners, and will only have a say in who earns a contract at the end of each episode.

How can fans get involved with the Challenger Series action?

Fans who tune in on FuboTV can also interact with the competition through free-to-play games and question-and-answer sessions. Viewers will get the opportunity to answer predictive-style questions and how they think the fights will play out, and much more.

The PFL Challenger Series fan vote will also allow viewers to voice their opinions on fight decisions and a spot with the judges.
