Paddy Pimblett is making his long-awaited UFC debut and he has posted a picture of himself in his first UFC fight kit.
The UFC is a place for a fighter to become a star. Every week is a chance for a new upcoming fighter to make their splash on the big stage and possibly change their life. On this week’s agenda is former Cage Warrior champion Paddy Pimblett. The 26-year-old English fighter will be making his UFC debut on Saturday night when he takes on Luigi Vendramini at UFC Vegas 36. In the lead-up to fight night Pimblett posted a photo of himself decked out in the official UFC fight kit, a sight fans have been waiting years for.
Although only 26, Pimblett has had an amazing MMA career so far. He is 16-3 and has finished 12 of his opponents. What might be more impressive than his performance inside the cage is the love he gets from fans outside the cage. Pimblett is a fan favorite and his outgoing personality is the reason. He has long been teasing a run in the UFC and now that day will be coming. With a win on Saturday night, the UFC may be getting a new star.
Pimblett being from the UK gives him a leg up in the potential star department. He has already been compared to Conor McGregor, and with McGregor out for a while, Pimblett could be stepping up. He could easily be the face of the UK UFC fighters. He is anticipating call-outs following his first UFC bout and with that a quick rise up the ranking.
This UFC card in Las Vegas on Saturday night was originally set to take place in England. Because of the change, many fighters hail from overseas. The event is headlined by Derek Brunson and the UK-born Darrent Till, you can bet UK fans, as well as, fans around the world will have a close eye on this card. A standout performance from Pimblett could be a huge boost for his growing career.
