UFC Vegas 31: Are there fans allowed inside UFC APEX?
It looks like we may finally get to see fans again for Fight Night cards, beginning with UFC Vegas 31.
It’s been about two years since UFC fans were able to enter the UFC APEX for events like UFC Fight Nights or Dana White’s Contender Series shows (if you don’t count contest winners). It looks like that is changing.
When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit in 2020, the UFC held an audience-less event in Brasilia, Brazil before being forced to take two months off. After a few events in Jacksonville, FL, upon return — and minus any events taking place on Fight Island — the UFC has taken refuge in its home base of Las Vegas, holding cards at the UFC APEX.
The UFC APEX, which was officially opened in 2019, has still played host to Fight Night cards even when the UFC began to go back on the road for monthly pay-per-views beginning in April. So, when will we get to see fans back?
A limited number of fans were allowed to attend UFC Vegas 31
It appears that answer will be UFC Vegas 31.
As noted by FanSided MMA’s Amy Kaplan, metal detectors at the UFC APEX — and a new parking situation for media — means people other than the media, fighters, staff, etc. look to be coming in for the card.
MMAJunkie’s John Morgan also posted a photo from inside the arena, where there appears to be fan seating set up.
