10 of the best fighters to come from The Ultimate Fighter.

With The Ultimate Fighter 29: Alex Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega approaching we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the best fighters to come through The Ultimate Fighter franchise. This list is just one writer’s opinion and we’re sure you’ll have an entirely different top 10 and that’s ok. In fact, we want you to. Lets us know in the comments which names we got right and which ones we got terribly wrong. We can take it.

Now, with no further ado, here’s our top 10, in no particular order.

Forrest Griffin

Probably the most recognized name to come from The Ultimate Fighter is Forrest Griffin who competed in the season 1 finale alongside Stephan Bonnar in arguably one of the greatest fights in UFC history. No TUF list could be complete without Griffin and honestly, the franchise might never have taken off if not for that single fight.

Season: 1

MMA record: 19-7

Michael Bisping

Michael Bisping made history when he became one of the first fighters in The Ultimate Fighter from outside of North America. He then made history again when he won season 3 and became the first non-American to win. After his run on TUF he would become the middleweight champion after a massive KO of Luke Rockhold at UFC 199. He’s since retired and now works on the commentary desk for the UFC. He’s a promotional staple and he deserves to be on this list.

Season: 3

MMA record: 30-9

Tony Ferguson

One of the more colorful fan favorites from The Ultimate Fighter is Tony Ferguson. Though his last few performances have been less than ideal, we can’t discount the massive run he went on and how no matter if wins or not, his fights are always fun. He won season 13 and although he’s never been able to capture an undisputed title, he’s a freak of nature nonetheless.

Season: 13

MMA record: 25-5
