Jose Aldo displayed a new “tattoo” at UFC Vegas 17.

At UFC Vegas 17, co-main event fighter Jose Aldo debuted a seemingly brand new “tattoo”, much to the confusion of fans worldwide. Adding to their confusion, Aldo did not appear to have the tattoo the day prior.

A former UFC featherweight champion, Aldo met Marlon “Chito” Vera in the bantamweight co-main event. As Aldo disrobed before entering the cage, fans were, naturally, perplexed to see Aldo rocking fresh ink. Fans were unclear if he had added a genuine tattoo in the hours prior to the fight, or if fans were merely seeing a convincing-looking temporary tattoo.

The new ink, on Aldo’s left pec, appears to be the Brazilian Navy seal.

Of course, by the end of the fight, we realized it wasn’t real as he sweat it off his body.

Oh, well.
