UFC Vegas 12: Uriah Hall vs. Anderson Silva fight card.

One of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time will make his final walk this Saturday at UFC Vegas 12. Longtime UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will take a final bow following his main event bout with Uriah Hall this weekend in Las Vegas, a city where Silva has had incredible success.

The 45-year-old Silva says he will be walking away from the sport after a 23-year professional career that will surely see him inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Though Silva lost his title back in 2013, he still holds the company record for the longest single title reign at 2,457 days. And while the UFC would like him to go out on a high note, they haven’t done him any favors by matching him up with No. 10 Hall. Hall has won three of his last four following a shaky three-fight skid which saw him lose to top contenders Robert Whittaker and Gegard Mousasi. While not the matchup most would have saw coming for Silva’s final bout, there is some intrigue in seeing the two finally fight after Hall was tabbed by some as the next Anderson Silva following his incredible showing on The Ultimate Fighter season 17. While Hall never quite lived up to the initial hype, he has had a solid career in the sport and is coming off wins over Antonio Carlos Junior and Bevon Lewis. Silva hasn’t competed since May of 2019 after suffering a brutal leg injury against Jared Cannonier.

The co-main event features a key matchup featherweight between Andre Fili and Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell. A win for Mitchell would see his UFC record improve to 5-0.
