5 UFC fighters who could have played in the MLB

Dominick Reyes is a man full of athletic talent. He has only been fighting professionally for six years and already has two UFC title fights under his belt. Although he has not won that UFC gold yet, he has shown that he belongs at the top, and at only 26 years old, Reyes has plenty of time to make his skills shine.
So, why did Reyes start training in MMA so late? Well, he was a star college football player and even thought about going pro. That didn’t work out and he made the switch but his skills don’t stop and MMA and football. Reyes also played baseball and with his build and athleticism, he probably could have played professional baseball as well.
Maybe not the path he would have chosen for himself but Reyes is still a big fan of the sport. His team is the Dodgers and what a team to be a fan of right now and they are headed to the 2020 World Series. Although fans can’t be there, Reyes will be rooting at home, as he looks for his next bout in the UFC.
Many times a person who is good at one sport will excel in another. It takes a certain mindset and physical skills to become a professional athlete. Although these men mentioned in this article could have gone pro in baseball, we are all glad that they chose MMA. Some of the fighters featured are champions and some very well might be champions in the future. The UFC has proven that they and the athletes in the organization belong in the same discussions and the MLB and NFL. Sports are loved by many in this country and around the world and the UFC is among the most loved ones.
