8. Ashlee Evans-Smith
When you think of tattoos in the women’s MMA game there are a few names that stand out, and Ashlee Evans-Smith is certainly one of them. This UFC flyweight has had mixed success inside the cage. A current contender in the UFC flyweight division, Evans-Smith has made a name for herself. She has many followers on social media, but all of her followers may not be following for MMA content, she has a big following with the avid tattoo fans.
Tattoos all over her body go from her arms to her legs, to her stomach and chest, all the way up her neck and even to her head. Evans-Smith shaves half her side head to show off her scalp tattoo. Her social media is a tribute to her body art and she likes to talk about it as well.
“My first tattoo was when I was fifteen,” Evans-Smith told Helen Yee in an interview. “I hid it from my dad, he probably knows already now. I got more when I was 18, and 19, and I kept getting them, but back when I got my first tattoo it was just I wanted a tattoo, but now they each have meaning and I have so many I don’t know where to start. My favorite one is this one (points to shoulder) it is my nickname from my grandpa when I was little, it says goomba. So they all have different meanings. There’s a lot of them.”
