Donald and Lindsay Cerrone welcome second child, Riot

The highly-popular UFC star Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is a father once again, as he announced on Sept. 10 that he and his wife, Lindsay, have welcomed their second child — Riot River Cerrone, another son.

Cerrone posted photos of his newborn son on Instagram.

The UFC and WEC veteran had announced Lindsay’s pregnancy with Riot back in February.

The pair welcomed their first son, Dacson Danger Cerrone, in June 2018.

Lindsay and Cerrone’s grandmother are both constantly present at his fights, and Dacson joined them along once he was born.

In fact, in Cerrone’s first fight since Dacson’s birth, he was able to score a first-round submission win over Mike Perry, officially becoming the UFC’s all-time leader in wins and finishes in spite of never winning gold in a major MMA promotion.

Cerrone then took out Alexander Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn two months later in his return to lightweight, and he followed that up with a unanimous decision win over Al Iaquinta in the main event of UFC Ottawa in May 2019. At the time, that had given Cerrone four wins in his most recent five bouts and appeared to give him new life after struggles up at welterweight.

Cerrone himself previously stated, prior to the Iaquinta bout, that Dacson’s birth expanded his love and motivation for fighting.

His momentum ultimately came to an end not too long after, however, as he lost to Tony Ferguson via doctor’s stoppage at UFC 238 and suffered a first-round TKO loss to Justin Gaethje just a few months later.

Earlier this year, Cerrone headlined a UFC pay-per-view for the first time in his career, facing Conor McGregor and the Irish star’s return to the Octagon after over a year on the sidelines. McGregor finished Cerrone in 40 seconds.

Cerrone dropped a decision in a competitive bout with Anthony Pettis at UFC 249, and he is scheduled to face Niko Price at UFC Vegas 11 on Sept. 19.
