With her win over Germaine de Randamie at UFC 245, Amanda Nunes has set a new UFC record for most wins in women’s title fights.

UFC champ-champ Amanda Nunes is seen by plenty as the greatest women’s fighter MMA has ever seen, and now she has more backup to that claim.

As first stated on a Reddit post, Nunes has set a new record for most total wins in UFC title fights by a female fighter. UFC 245, which saw Nunes defeat Germaine de Randamie by decision, marked Nunes’ seventh UFC title fight and her seventh win in such bouts.

Nunes also currently holds other records, including, but not limited to: most wins by a female fighter in UFC history (12) and the most knockouts in UFC women’s bantamweight history (six), most UFC women’s bantamweight bouts (12) and most UFC women’s bantamweight wins (11).

With this win, she breaks both Ronda Rousey and Joana Jedzejczyk’s previous record of 6 each.

With a win in her next title bout, Nunes would tie Jose Aldo for fifth all-time in UFC title fight wins — male or female. That record is currently held by Jon Jones and Georges St Pierre with 13 — Jones will secure sole possession if he defeats Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

Nunes has now won 10 straight fights, a run that stretches back to 2015. Her last loss came against Cat Zingano at UFC 178.

Nunes captured the UFC women’s bantamweight title at UFC 200, where she scored a first-round submission of Miesha Tate in the main event. Since then, she has successfully defended the title against Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, Raquel Pennington and Holly Holm, in addition to de Randamie.

Nunes added the UFC women’s featherweight championship to her collection by knocking out Cris “Cyborg” Justino at UFC 232, becoming the first female UFC fighter to win titles in two weight classes and the first female champ-champ (third champ-champ overall) in UFC history. Nunes has not defended the 145-pound title since winning it last year.
