4. Ronda Rousey

Fans all know what Ronda Rousey brought to both the UFC and women in the world of MMA. The former Strikeforce and UFC bantamweight champion was the biggest draw the promotion had seen since the likes of Brock Lesnar.

Rousey defended her championship a record-breaking six times against the best female fighters the world had to offer. Liz Carmouche, Miesha Tate, Sara McMann, Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano and Bethe Correia. All tried to dethrone “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and all failed.

Rousey was at the top of the mountain, dominating inside the cage and doing groundbreaking things outside of it. From movies to television advertisements Ronda was the biggest name in fighting, period.

Just when it looked like nothing or no one would be able to remove Ronda from the top of the food chain along came a fighter by the name of Holly Holm.

The two met at UFC 193 in Australia and the bantamweight division was changed forever. Holm absolutely obliterated Rousey on the feet before landing a big neck kick that knocked her out cold. Rousey was known for world-class Judo skills and submission game, which Holly stayed well away from.

Rousey has never recovered from the loss. She went into isolation for over a year and when she made her return to the UFC and was obliterated by current champion Amanda Nunes.

Holm drew up the blueprint to defeat the seemingly untouchable Rousey and while she has not officially retired from MMA, it is all but certain she will not return and become the force she once was.
