6. Randy Couture

A legend in MMA, Randy Couture was a monster inside the cage who captured UFC gold in both the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions.

More from UFC

A man who destroyed boxing champion James Toney, literally spanked Tito Ortiz and won the heavyweight title at the age of 46 Randy is a legend for a reason. He could knock out or submit his opponent, signing a bout agreement to face Couture was one to not be taken lightly.

Randy was around during the climb and the explosion of the promotion and has beaten fighters from both eras. Chuck Liddell, Tim Sylvia, Gabrial Gonzaga, Vitor Belfort, Pedro Rizzo, Brandon Vera and Mark Coleman are some of the names that he has beaten.

Prior to his retirement thanks to a crane kick from Lyoto Machida, Randy had won three straight but an accumulation of damage over the years and his age now becoming a huge factor led to him hanging them up. Unfortunately for Couture, he became a part of “The Dragon’s” highlight reel.

To this day Randy remains one of the greatest to have ever stepped into the cage. Two championships in two different weight classes wins over numerous former champions. A true Hall of Famer.
