No. 2-1

2. Anderson Silva

Anderson Silva changed what we thought was possible inside of the octagon. He was a great fighter in his Pride days, but it wasn’t until his run in the UFC that it became clear just how special the Spider was. He made his UFC debut against Chris Leben, and absolutely dismantled him in the first round.

After that impressive performance, Silva went on to face Rich Franklin for the middleweight title, finishing him in the first round. The rest is history. Silva went on to defend his belt 11 times against great fighters like Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort. He even won a few fights at light heavyweight. But the best thing about Silva is his creativity. Nobody has done what he has done inside of the cage. To this day, he’s considered the best MMA fighter of all time.

1. Georges St. Pierre

The best welterweight fighter ever, there’s no one who has dominated their opponents the way GSP has. Coming into MMA with a karate background, it’s mind-blowing to see just how much he has evolved since his early days in the sport.

Throughout his career, GSP developed a wrestling game that nobody has been able to match. Using his technical striking, his explosive wrestling and his great submissions, GSP has been able to beat some of the best fighters in UFC history, including BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, Jon Fitch, Jake Shields and Carlos Condit. He’s defended the welterweight belt 12 times in his UFC career and although he recently retired, he has expressed interest in a return to fighting. The way he’s dominated his opponents in every aspect of the sport, there’s no doubt that Georges St. Pierre is the greatest of all time.
