6. Demetrious Johnson

For most of his MMA career, Mighty Mouse was a bantamweight fighter. Despite having a full-time job while fighting, he still managed to become one of the best fighters in his weight class. During his time in the WEC, he only lost one fight, to Brad Pickett, and picked up great wins over Damacio Page and Nick Pace.

When he transitioned to the UFC, he fought Dominick Cruz for the bantamweight title, but lost by decision. It wasn’t until the UFC introduced the flyweight division that Johnson would make his mark as one of the greats of all time. Currently on a 10-fight win streak, Johnson has been the only UFC flyweight champion and he’s cleaned out the entire division. The best flyweight fighter of all time, by far.

5. BJ Penn

BJ Penn is one of the only fighters to ever become a two-weight world champion. As a champion at both welterweight and lightweight, Penn has left his mark in the MMA world with some of the best performances in UFC history.

He first captured the welterweight title when he moved up a weight class to face Matt Hughes and finished him in the first round. Although he had a great run at welterweight, the lightweight division is where he truly shined. He won the vacant lightweight title against Joe Stevenson and went on to defend it against Sean Sherk, Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez. BJ Penn is the greatest lightweight of all time.
