25. Fabricio Werdum

With wins over some of the best heavyweights in MMA history, Werdum’s ground game is among the best in his division and his striking has improved dramatically throughout his career. He shocked the world when he submitted Fedor Emelianenko and he also has notable wins over Big Nog and Cain Velasquez.

24. Frank Shamrock

A great grappler and an all around great MMA fighter, Frank Shamrock was known for his submission skills on the mat. He’s faced some of the best, including Bas Rutten, Tito Ortiz and Nick Diaz. He’s been retired for quite some time now, but he’s a legend of the sport.

23. Wanderlei Silva

The Axe Murderer was a force to be reckoned with during the Pride era. With vicious knees in the clinch and devastating punching power, Silva was a scary man to step inside of the ring or the cage with. His run in the UFC wasn’t so great, but he has had very impressive wins throughout his MMA career over Rampage Jackson, Ricardo Arona and Michael Bisping.

22. Rich Franklin

A math teacher prior to his fighting career, Rich Franklin made his UFC debut in 2003, picking up wins over Evan Tanner and Edwin Dewees. He went on to have a very successful career, becoming the UFC middleweight champion and picking up wins over various top fighters, such as Yushin Okami, Wanderlei Silva and Chuck Liddell.

21. Robbie Lawler

Throughout his MMA career, Robbie Lawler has always come to fight. With vicious power in his hands, if he lands, he usually finishes the fight. Although he has had major setbacks in his career, Lawler has made quite the resurgence. Since making his return to the UFC in 2013 (following a stint with Strikeforce), he’s won eight of his last nine bouts and he managed to win the welterweight title in a rematch against Johny Hendricks. The way he has turned his career around is one of the biggest comebacks in UFC history.
