1. Megan Anderson

Megan Anderson is a fierce competitor and a welcome addition to the UFC featherweight division. Standing at six feet tall she radiates confidence inside the cage. From just looking at her she seems like a fighter true and true, and her tattoo fit the bill. If anyone follows her social media they know that she is also sweet and funny. She loves tattoos, that much is clear since the majority of her body is covered.

“On my right arm, I have the Gates of Heaven and I believe, this is going to get real deep here,” Anderson told Inked Magazine. “I believe that people are inherently good when we’re born, but circumstances make us defer from that, so we fall from Heaven. On my other sleeve, I have the Gates of Hell, with Hell hounds and a warrior that’s guarding the gates. I believe that we also have the ability to be good again. So I have an archangel on my bicep that is fighting to get the demons back into Hell.”

Both arms are completely covered from wrist to shoulders and one leg is covered as well. It seems that fighters can deal with a great deal more pain than the average person with getting hit in fights and sitting through the tattoo process, but Anderson thinks one might be worse than the other.

“Getting tattooed is way worse. One hundred percent,” Anderson explained. “The only thing I’ve had in my fights is a broken nose and I’ve broken my hand, but I didn’t realize they were broken until after the fight. Even then it wasn’t too bad. It is, for sure, way worse getting tattooed than any fight that I’ve ever been in.”

From small tattoos along the arms to completely covered limb, tattoos are as different as the fighters themselves, but going through that process can only make one rougher, even among the toughest individuals on earth.
